Welcome to Sustainable Sprouts Art Camp! I’m Annie Ferrer, and I’m so excited to share this creative and sustainable journey with you.
With a deep passion for early childhood development, I’ve been working in this field since 2018. My journey began as an assistant teacher in 2021, where I spent six months learning the ropes before becoming the lead teacher for a full year. During that time, I truly realized the profound impact that teachers and other adults have on a child’s life. I believe that the foundation of any great educational experience is built on mutual respect, patience, and trust between counselors and students. Every child deserves a safe and nurturing space to grow, create, and feel truly at home.
Alongside my professional journey, I have always been passionate about sustainability and eco-friendly living. It’s something that I’ve integrated into my personal life for years, and it felt only natural to blend my love for art, sustainability, and teaching into one meaningful venture.
At Sustainable Sprouts, we strive to create an enriching environment where children not only explore their creativity but also learn the importance of protecting and preserving the planet. Through hands-on art projects and sustainability lessons, we inspire young minds to express themselves while fostering a deep respect for nature.
What truly makes our camp special is the incredible team of camp counselors I’ve carefully handpicked. Each of them shares my passion for working with children, teaching, and sustainability. Together, we will provide an unforgettable, impactful experience for your child, one that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a sense of responsibility towards the world around them.

Annie Ferrer (She/Her)
Annie has extensive experience as both a lead and assistant teacher, and is the founder of Sustainable Sprouts Art Camp. She runs her own sustainable slow fashion brand and is an active part of Austin’s slow fashion movement. Known for her patience and dedication, Annie combines her love for teaching and sustainability to create meaningful experiences for campers.
Anaeli Zamora (She/They)
Anaeli is a fun-loving counselor with two years of experience as a nanny and babysitter. Passionate about sustainability, she creates a positive, eco-friendly environment where creativity thrives. Her playful and caring nature makes her a favorite with campers and staff alike!
Martha Ferrer (She/Her)
Martha, 23, is an experienced babysitter with a deep passion for both art and children. As an active member of Austin’s slow fashion movement, she advocates for sustainability in all aspects of life. Sweet, compassionate, and highly professional, Martha brings warmth and dedication to everything she does.
Laurie Montolla (She/Her)
Laurie, 26, is a compassionate humanitarian and passionate advocate for our planet, always thinking of others and the Earth. An art lover who has competed in art contests, Laurie’s creativity and kind heart shine through in everything she does. With a deep sense of empathy, she brings warmth and care to those around her, making a positive impact wherever she goes.
Lauren (She/Her)
Lauren, 26, is a dedicated camp counselor and environmental advocate who is passionate about sustainability and living a vegan lifestyle. She loves making clothes from upcycled materials, combating fast fashion and sharing her creativity with others. With two years of experience working with kids, she brings a calm, peaceful energy that helps campers feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves.
Issac (he/him)
Issac, 23, is a fun and enthusiastic individual with over five years of experience working with kids as a camp counselor. An adventurous spirit who is also training to become an EMT, Issac’s energy and positivity shine through in everything he does. With a natural ability to connect with children, he brings excitement, encouragement, and confidence to every activity
